After Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch wrestled to a draw on Monday Night Raw, no No. 1 contender has been named for Charlotte's Diva's Championship match at WrestleMania 32 as of yet.
Instead, there will be a rematch to determine the No. 1 contender this Thursday on Smackdown, per WWE Universe.
The two rising star Divas wrestled for a shot to face Charlotte in Dallas at AT&T Stadium on April 3. Both Banks' and Lynch's shoulders were on the mat after Banks connected on a Sunset Flip Powerbomb from the top turnbuckle, resulting in a double pin, via WWE:
With no one set to face Charlotte in Dallas at the moment, the plan going forward is unclear, per WWE Universe:
One of the ideas brought to the forefront could be a Triple Threat match between the three on the grandest stage of them all. Ever since they were all called up from NXT during the summer, Charlotte, Sasha and Becky have inevitably been linked to each other, and that has been quite evident during the buildup to WrestleMania.
After Charlotte defeated Lynch at Royal Rumble with help from her father and manager—Ric Flair—Banks took out both Divas to announce her intention to go after the title.
Sasha and Becky took a temporary detour when they formed an alliance to take on Team Bad at Fastlane, but The Boss made it clear that her focus was still solely on becoming Divas champion for the first time:
The Lass Kicker echoed those sentiments and expressed her desire to get back in the title hunt as well:
Sasha, Charlotte and Becky have a long history together due to their multiple encounters in NXT and their being part of the main roster.
Banks defeated Charlotte to win the NXT Women's Championship for the first time, which is a moment that boosted her rise to superstardom in a big way.
Banks has held that over Charlotte's head for quite some time, and it is among the reasons why she believes she is superior to the Dirtiest Diva in the Game:
Also, Sasha and Becky were once a duo known as Team BAE in NXT until the Ireland-born Diva got tired of The Boss' dastardly actions and me-first attitude.
The perception from some wrestling fans is that Charlotte's familial ties have allowed her to rise through the ranks more quickly than most, while Sasha and Becky have been forced to scratch and claw their way to the top.
Charlotte didn't take kindly to that and attempted to turn the narrative around on Banks in particular:
Rather than engaging in a war of words, Lynch suggested that they settle their differences in the ring, and they will certainly get that chance come April 3:
As arguably the three top female in-ring workers WWE's main roster has to offer—and perhaps three of the best in the entire business—Charlotte, Sasha and Becky have an opportunity to put on the best women's match in the history of WrestleMania if it happens.
The Divas typically haven't been given much time to shine on the grandest stage of them all over the years, but knowing that Charlotte, Banks and Lynch have a history of stealing the show in both NXT and WWE, that may change at AT&T Stadium if it is a Triple Threat match.
While the Divas revolution has had its ups and downs, there is no question that WWE has shown more commitment to portraying women's wrestling in a different and more serious light than ever before.
Since Sasha put on what was arguably the match of the year in all of professional wrestling last year against Bayley at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn and has the total package in terms of being a sports entertainer, having her win the title at WrestleMania seems like an obvious move on WWE's part.
Predictability isn't always a bad thing, though, as Banks will undoubtedly get a huge reaction in the Lone Star State if she defeats Charlotte and Becky en route to achieving her dream of becoming Divas champion at the showcase of the immortals.
